Faith from the Edges

Faith and life from the perspective of me.

We are hot here in Kenora – close to 5 degrees warmer than normal and we have humidity!

The dear one and I are trying to get more work done on our house in order to get it ready to sell soon. Have you ever tried to work on your house – painting, putting down new lino, ripping out old tile – when it is hot and humid? What happens to the dear one and I is lassitude. We get some work done in the morning and then by 11 am we are just done for the day.

Some days are little better than others but not really. Now we have ripped up the kitchen and the lassitude is not helping my meal planning at all. Who wants to figure out what to cook on the BBQ when there is no sink or counter to work with. You should see my dining room at the moment!

In the midst of this is also a beginning though. Some sense that there is a future waiting for us. That there will be a place for us to live and work and worship. So we will continue to work on the house and push pass the lassitude to get things done. Hopefully by the end of next week we can see the kitchen coming together and be able to move on to other tasks.

For now I am going to have a cold drink (pick your favourite and that will be what I am having) and hope for some cooler weather and give thanks that I have electricity and can run my fans!
